The discovery of the skeletons resulted in the name āMohenjo-daroā being given to the site, thereby naming it as the place where remains of the dead were found. Excavations at Mohenjo-Daro continued through till 1930s and several times in the following decades as well which brought to light the remains of a highly planned city.
